65 11 080 Removing and installing/replacing radio receiver







IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD protection) .







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead
- Remove control panel for heating and A/C system







NOTE: Comply with notes and instructions on handling optical fibres .







Release screws (1).
Pull back radio receiver (2) slightly.
Disconnect associated plug connections and remove radio receiver (2).

Installation:
Make sure the rear guide pin of the radio receiver (2) is correctly seated in the associated mounting.







For US version only:
If there is a violet antenna connection (1) present in addition to the black antenna connection (2), additional work is required when replacing the radio receiver.

Replacement:
Carry out vehicle programming/encoding .
