Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove cover cap from door mirror Removing and Installing/Replacing Cover Cap on Left or Right Door Mirror
- Remove trim from door mirror Removing and Installing/Replacing Trim on Left or Right Door Mirror
- Remove drive Service and Repair for electrically adjustable door mirror





Release screws (1) on retaining ring (2).





Unclip catch (1) and remove retaining ring (2).






Installation:
Catch (1) and guide (2) must not be damaged.
Locators (3) for multitooth catches must not be damaged.
